Hi.
1950s house. Back boiler removed , not sure if flue removed. How can I tell?! Anyway , in the bedroom where chimney runs though there is an access panel?!? Is this right? Normal?
If it is the downstairs chimney, again, have a look.
If it is a blocked off bedroom fireplace chimney, it will be completely separate from downstairs fireplace and should have a vent.
If you mean a gas boiler - is the cowl still on the top of the chimney?

Nothing on top of Chimney. Fireplace downstairs is blocked off.
No fireplace upstairs but part of wall is like a panel floor to ceiling in chimney . Why would this be needed? What was the purpose? Access to the chimney?
So, do you mean there used to be a solid fuel back boiler?
If so, there will be no flue pipe, if that's what you meant.
The chimney itself (brickwork) is also called a flue.
