Have you closed in slightly the locksheild valves on the two hot radiators? What with the "pumping sound" on those ones, it's easy to believe that the flow path through these is so easy that the others are just being bypassed.

Yes have played around with those

When I close them completely the water gets to the other rads but they don’t get very hot at all

So frustrating

The noise is a bang and pop every two or three seconds from inside the rads

Your rads are full of crud and solder blobs.

Drain down time and flush each rad.

Had three done yesterday and they were black inside

Have also got that magna clip thing on the boiler and the crud in there is something else

Trouble is the newly flushed rads aren’t working this morning

You need to do all the rads in one go, or you risk crud moving back in to the cleaned rads. Open the lockshields on each flushed rad in turn, and make sure crud isn't blocking the lockshield.
