3. Islaam sets the age of marriage at puberty, as it is the natural dividing line between childhood and adulthood. Menstruation indicates that a young girl has reached childbearing age. This age may vary from country to country, but it is discernable and not arbitrary.

Says something when the 'authorities' who turned a blind eye to systematic child abuse in Rochdale were probably more worried about being called racist or islamohobic, than they were of being accused of aiding and abetting child abuse.

As a slightly separate subject but as a result of one of the comments quoted earlier
I was staggered to find out that the age of consent:
Was 12 in the Vatican city until last year
Was raised from 12 to 13 in Spain in 1996 & is set to be raised to 16 (or may have been raised already as info refers to 2013)
Is 14 in Estonia, Austria, Germany, Italy

Has that really proved to be the case (afraid of being called racist etc) or is it something that some people beleive is 'probably' the case?
I don't know either way.
But does this logic extend to those who covered up/colluded in the Saville abuse as well that committed by many other White, nominally (at least) Christian, English people?
Or is it simply the horrible truth that a lot of people don't care about children's welfare and turn a blind eye to abuse for a host of reasons, none of which I can get my head round .One of which is a lot of people simply don't want to believe such a thing could be done.
I think you are right, the cover up becomes more important .

The Establishment's first priority is to protect itself.
Failure seems to be dealt with by asking for the resignation of the person responsible (with an accompanying payoff) - elsewhere failure is dealt with by being fired.
