Banged up for PPE theft

A couple have been jailed for selling PPE they stole from the NHS. Quite a big sentence considering the value of the items taken. They should have faced some sort of action, but seems harsh considering many scammed millions during COVID, and they go unpunished.
Cynical, orchestrated and greedy. Lock 'em up.

I hope Mone is looking on.

Totally reprehensive behaviour, making money out of covid because of greed...

Especially those being in a position of trust...

All those in such a position for example doctors, teachers etc (regardless of nationality) should be held to account if they profited and stole from or defrauded the public purse in any way!

Eh?

They've been sentenced to 10 months. Will they even serve that? And you think that's a harsh sentence?

And you think that's a harsh sentence?
Compared to those that were skimming millions from taxpayers and have faced no consequences it does seem harsh. £8k cost to the NHS would probably be £1k at most on the open market, people have had suspended sentences or fines for worse crimes. I'm not condoning what they did, it's just another example of the disjointed justice system in the UK.

I live in hope that justice will eventually catch up with the Bra Baroness, and others.

It's easy to be wise with hindsight, and easy to judge when you weren't there.

A friend was frontline when it kicked off.
He didn't know if he'd see his kids grow up.
Colleagues died.
The PPE shortage was so bad, he was sent out in little better than bin bags.

**** got real for some, especially early on.

A bit of context, with regard to the perceived harshness of the sentence.

The Bra Baroness

Is there anyone or anything you actually like? You never seem to have any joy whatsoever going on in your life. It can’t be that bad, can it?

A neighbour's kid, a doctor was "done" in some way for nicking and selling gear on. I was told by another neighbour that he was struck off.
But he's still on the register. He's gone to work in some capacity in his parents' home country, Pakistan. Maybe he wouldn't get work here if he was suspended.
