i have a myson appolo 50

when ever the hot water or the central heating turns on i get a loud banging noise

can anyone help me?

the boiler fires up.

after about 10 mins makes a banging noise.its continues like every couple of minutes. same for hot water and central heating.

i have a tank fed system

check the usual suspects first

is there water in the header tank

is the pump running ok

Pump overrun thermostat is my bet.

You have a hi and lo stat on boiler does it make noise if either is selected.

water is in the header tank but had this systems for years so i think the ball valve mite be out on its last leg.(wear and tear)

check the pump it seems ok..
did the screw driver trick cab hear the popelar humming.

its on high position at moment been on that for years

what does the high and low do exactly?

depending on the setting

i can only see low..
no high on mine
