If fixing a bar shower to the z bars that come out from a tiled wall with shrouds. Is it possible to put two washer in if not enough threads have been left after the shroud? Thanks

Cut the shrouds back

Depends what shape the shrouds are, I use a dremel when it comes to fine cutting like that.
Though I must be honest - I never use Z connectors, they are the worst things ever. Who fitted the feeds? Depending on what stage it's all aty, i'd be tempted to see if the fittings/feeds could be adjusted.
Could you get away with 2 washers, possibly, but never had to test the scenario TBH.

The preferred method is to throw away the offset connectors that get supplied with bar mixers and use a mounting kit such as
Presumably you are beyond that stage and need a work around an incorrect install. You could try 2 washers each side or cut down the shrouds.

Thanks yes I use the surface mounting kits. I haven't pulled the shrouds back yet. But I think will be z bars.
