Hi, my father bought this barrettine shed and fence wood treatment, the same as linked below:

https://www.barrettinepro.co.uk/25/282/Shed-Fence-Treatment

He bought it with the intention of applying it to a garden table, a bit like the one at the link below:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/BrackenStyle-Picnic-Seater-Timbers-Treated/dp/B00TQSK3KO

However on the tub it says "Not suitable for use on Garden Furniture."

Does anyone know why it's not suitable? My father seems keen to put it on anyway, what could happen if we did?

I'm thinking maybe it will rub off onto peoples clothes if they sit on it or something, but not sure, it doesn't say why it's not suitable anywhere.

It's a water based fence paint, it would spruce up an old table with a couple of coats, but won't be very durable.

Thanks for the info.

So it won't actually be potentially harmful in any way? They're just saying it's not suitable because it's not very durable for being sat on etc?
