i just bought some flexi tap connectors for the bathroom sink,but they are to big at the tap end. someone told me i need to buy reducers.any help on the size, please

You have probably bought ones for the bath so take them back and ask for basin ones 
You have probably got the 15mm copper at one end and the 3/4" knut on the other. Take them back and change them for the 1/2" end.
