Hi
I'm fitting a basin in my bathroom which I got from Homebase with the waste included. I've fitted a bottle trap with a basin mate and plenty of silicone. I've now just noticed that there isn't a retaining hole in the basin for my plug. I think I'm left with a couple of options but hoping someone can advise.
1. I could try and attach plug to overflow ? Is there one that will suit?

2. Dismantle waste remove all silicone and get a different waste?

3. Drill my own hole through basin!

I prefer option 1 but I've not seen anything suitable

Hope someone can help

Was planning to use just the plug but on further inspection the plug is retained on a thread and locking nut through the plug hole so no use really

As suggested, it would be easier to just replace with a click clack or flip waste. Silicone should still be soft enough to remove easily.
