Hi

We have a grohe mixer tap with a pull rod that sticks out from the back to open/close the pop up waste.
The rod is one with a slight bend at the end that sticks out but i want to lower how much of it sticks out of the back of the tap when the rod is pulled up as it will be too close to a shelf we plan to build.

I've had a look at the fixing mechanism and see a screw that I've tried to adjust but it seems to be only used to fix the rod from the pop up waste itself to the pull rod ... it doesn't give me the movement I need which is to lower the rod.

Any help appreciated!

Looks like there is a white adjusment finger screw at the end of the fitting,

ease off adustment screw push down bar to required level and tighten up.

My advice is to ditch the pop up waste and replace with a click-clack waste.

They tend to go wrong quite a lot, get stuck, work loose, leak etc but see how it goes.
