Bath overflow

The overflow in our bath,It seems to low in our bath and most of the water runs out when I get in, I`m not terribly overweight so it isnt my fault, it all just seems to shallow can i raise the overflow higher up the bath, and will i be able to seal off the old overflow that has been fitted, in my view to low, help i really love my bath :?
 
don't put so much water in then it won't overflow.

can't get the overflows much nearer the top.
