I have been trying to remove a very old plastic bath strip but part of it has been tiled on top of.
I have tried to cut it with a stanley knife but it is leaving most of the plastic hanging down.
Will I have to take out the bath? and or will I have to break the tiles around the bath.
Please help [/b]

Hi,

The reason I am replacing it is that it is discoloured and I have been putting bath seal strip over it and it wont stick.
I tried to start removing it but it has proved impossible without removing either the tiles holding it down or the bath itself.
I don't know what to do for the best :!:

Many thanks stephenf8542 I will try the hooked carpet blade.
Can you now tell me how to fill in the 1'' gap.
I will be able to buy a new bath strip but there is nothing for it to adhere to.

Sorry

Thats a big gap!
Try expanding foam, when it goes off cut level and sand then fix tile trim or edging tile as required
