We have bath taps witha shower outlet in the centre, recently it has been difficult to set the shower temperature with the cold tap. I seem to ahve to move it a long way and then the tempreature sudely changes a lot, small adjustments of the tap seem to make no difference until it has been moved about 1/4 turn and then there is a big temperature cahnge . .

ANy ideas?

I believe it isa Deva tap.

You've got no thermostatic control on a tap mixer, so it's likely that the tap jumper is sticking, and needs a clean and lubricate.

Lubricate the quick thread inside the tap with silicone grease, ideally.....give it a new washer too.
If the tap is of the cheaper contract types, a new insert could be better.
John :)
