The downlights in my bathroom have rusted slightly. Obviously the capping piece (I don't know the name of it) is of a plastic material with a chrome trim which is flaking and spotty.

Is it simply enough just to pop on some new ones ? Does anyone have a preference of colour? Ceiling is white

Alternating fluorescent orange and lime green.

Coat it unevenly with a thin grey wash so that it looks dirty.

I'm surprised you didn't tell me to ask building control to turn the lights off first you first class bellend.

Just trying to highlight the madness of you asking a bunch of strangers if they have any colour preferences for your lights in your bathroom.
