Hey all.

Carrying out some renovations on my bathroom and looking at completing the electrical work myself.

Some of the work I know needs notifying and a part P certificate, but I'm not sure about a couple of bits.

One is that the extractor fan will be one of those where the actual fan is in the loft with an on off switch outside the shower so as there will be no electrical wiring or components in the bathroom so does this come under part P? Also We'll be changing the light fitting and changing the light switch from a pull cord to a dimmer switch outside the bathroom.

I ask as getting the certifcate requires an inspection pre going live of the installation which is a bit of a pain if you have to wait a week with no lights in the bathroom.

Cheers
Rob
