Can anyone please advise me as to the most powerful bathroom extractor fan for a small bathroom. The old fan didn't do anything & was useless.

Typically, a 4" diameter is sufficient for a bathroom but you can go to 6".

An inline motor is best. But depends on the site conditions for installation.

90 cubic meters per hour or more airflow is powerful.

Get one with a timer/humid stat. and a pullcord switch.

smaller Ext's are noisy and wear easily. Beware of noise.

My money is on seperate ext's from any lighting - dont combine.

Electricians forum will give you best answers. Mods will transfer this post if you ask.

I've not got any suggestions for a unit, but I'd suggest checking the airflow of the room. Most people don't like the large gap at the bottom of bathroom doors, that building reg's ask for. It helps the airflow.
just a thought!
