Hi - I have had a new bathroom installed including a brand new tiled floor but after a couple of months the floor grout around the perimiter has cracked away from the skirting board. I have thought about scraping the grout out and re-doing but there is a chanc this will happen again.

Any ideas??

If it is only around the perimiter then it will happen again as the timber floor moves against the solid walls. Better to run a small bead of silicon around the edge.

thanks, it is only around the perimiter, so silicone sounds the best option. I have looked at this option before but could never decide the best silicone to use (On the homebase shelves), have you any advice on the ones to use

I tend to use a mastic to match the grout I am using, or clear if there is a big difference in wall/floor tile colours. Mapei or Dow are the makes I use both are sanitary silicones which have an anti fungal additive, have a look on Screwfix's site they do both.

I have brown floor tiles with grey grout and white skirting so think I will go for white if they have any

Thanks for your help
