I currently have a varnished wooden bathroom floor -nice to look at, but slippery as you like when you step out of the shower.

Are there any non-slip or low-slip similar products (varnishes, waxes etc) that look similar, and are water-resistant?

Or does anyone have any left-field suggestions that I wouldn't ordinairily consider?

i think u're going to struggle on this.

i like the tile effect laminate in both bathrooms and kitchens. it has a sort of rough surface (BandQ have it) which helps on the slipping front. with loose carpeting (rugs) it seems to work ok.

the trouble is with water most surfaces are not going to be 100% slip free.

the only thing for sure that's quick and easy is a biggish cork mat (door mat size).
