I have a normal light fitting in the bathroom at the moment and i want to install a goldair heat and light unit instead as i have no heating in my bathroom.

Can someone tell me how it works with the switch on the outside? Does it have to be on all the time and to switch the light on and off we use the pulley on the heat and light unit?

I will be getting a electrician in to do the work but i just wondered how it would work before i bought it.

the switch will control the entire unit, just like it controls the entire light at the moment AFAIK.

Unless, that is, you have a perm. live at the light and your fitting has the facility to wire the heat and light seperate.
