Hi Guys
I'm about to get a quote or two for some replacement light for my bathroom, but I like to have enough knowledge to ask the trades guy the right questions etc.
Current situation
In the bathroom there are 3x60W halogen recessed lights using a transformer, with input 240 via the traditional pull cord switch. I suspect that these were changed without Part P notification, but I don't know for sure.
What I'd like
3xled 60W equivs, with fire hoods and Part P certified (if necessary).
Can these be wired directly from the 240 supply via a suitable junction box?
Is it best to wire these in series or parallel?
What should I ask the guy for to get the best and safest installation?
Sorry for this post, if it's really obvious, but I respect electricity!
