as long as 'out the way' means inside the light fitting, you can't just push them into the ceiling void.

Can you get above, transfer the wiring into a 20A 4 terminal junctionbox, and connect a single piece of twin and earth to go through the ceiling and connect to the light

ok, ill try that or i migh'nt just put the old light fitting back up and tell the g/f that its the wrong type of light for a bathroom,
