Hi all, any advice would be great... thanks!
I have an edwardian house, it's a corner terrace so is odd angle walls and ceilings city... but full of character (and 100 years worth of bodging)
Having carefully worked my way through the house for the last 18 months its starting to look very smart, however the bathroom is a real problem. It is probably a conversion tucked away at the back of the house, more or less on the back corner, it is upstairs though. Lath and plaster walls are in a real rum old state and I think the only answer is to rip the plaster off and recover with plaster board, no doubt a very messy job. The problems are obvious, the bathroom is in constant use so can't be out of service for long, as it's a bathroom it's going to get wet in there so what do i need to ensure i protect the walls and new boards against damp? lastly because it's on the rear corner and in the roof it's basically wedge shaped with a dormer cut in to the roof pitch (so you can stand at the basin) current layout is bath at angle directly below tallest part of the roof, toilet to the left and basin in the dormer, the roof comes down at 45 degrees from about 8ft to the floor, anyone offer some good ideas on how i might improve the layout too?
thanks!
