Hi all

Newby here.

We've just started a project to update our bathroom.

We're going to be replacing the whole suite and this time the bath will have a shower attachment on it.

However, the last time it was decorated, we had the problem where the paint kept flaking and lifting the original paint off.

Not knowing that you should use matt emulsion, I believe we used silk last time.

So, on starting to remove the border we had, to get everything ready, the paint is coming off with the border to the bare plaster.

Now I'm fine with that as I've read plenty of threads on here to understand what to do when I paint next.

and finally the question........

We will be having a section of the bathroom tiled, do I need to put a mist coat on the area where the tiles are going to be or lave it as bare plaster.
