Hi all,

1. There's a huge gap (5-10mm) filled with a horrible sticky grey substance looks like chewing gum actually but more stickier!
This doesn't look very nice and needs to be removed although my 2 year old daughter as smeared most of it down the pedasal!

What's the best way of removing this and what shall I seal the gap with that's not at all sticky so my daughter can't get to it?

With the gap so big does that mean it was the wrong pedasal with the basin?

2. Shower head leaking - any ideas of how to stop this...? It's not your chrome looking one that so many people seem to buy nowadays.. Lokks like one from the early nineties!

Regards

Andy

1 Is probably Plumber's Mate/Mait. Useless muck. Remove all you can then use white spirit and a rag. Fill with sanitary silicone.
2 Impossible to say without a pic or description of what you have.
Usually needs a washer or plumbers tape.
