Bathroom plinth - sealing when cut

Hi all,

Apologies if in the wrong section, but if not, can anyone recommend any particular sealant when cutting a bathroom plinth to size and needing to seal the cut end to waterproof it

The cut ends would be against the wall or end panels so a bit of clear sealant would be enough to seal the ends.
