Hi

I have a bathroom light pullswitch that needs to be relocated to a light switch outside the bathroom door.

Ive taken the pullswitch apart to find it has 4 red wires coming in and thats it....not seen anything like this before.

The current pull switch has 4 terminals all with a red cable and then a strapper going across two terminals.

It also operates an extractor fan upstairs but the down stairs pullswitch also operates the fan upstairs.

The other issue I have is its in a flat with concrete ceilings which are reinforced and impossible to drill through so running new cables can only only be done down walls!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Cheers

Probably a double pole switch.
Any replacement needs to be the same type of switch and wired in the same way that it is now.

How do you intend to join and extend the wiring to the new switch location?

There is a hole in the concrete so I'm thinking the best way would be to use Wago connectors (push in type) and then dot & dab the ceiling so the cable can be run as I've taken off the old plaster (approx 8m thick) and the D&D would be more then enough to allow me to run the cable across the ceiling down the wall into the socket outside
