I am thinking of importing a luxury bathroom from an online chinese manufacturer. They are CE approved and meet the ISO9001 standard. However I am not an a plumbing expert.

Is there any particular technical specifications the tub or the sink, toilet must adhere too. The products are displayed and portrayed as very good quality. The companies brochures are fantastic and seem genuinely very high quality.

I assume because the products are CE approved they will be compatible with UK plumbing fittings and pipe work. I would really appreciate any technical comments or advice.

Fittings are different throughout Europe.

I wouldn't touch it unless I'd seen it - glossies are irrelevant.

You don't have to pay fortunes for quality, only for "style". Most of it's bolox.

I love ISO9001, when boiled down it amounts to;

Document what you do.
Do what you've documented.
and be able to demonstrate that you've done it.

So I produce a crap product, but, I have documented that it is crap, and I can prove it. Seal of approval.....
