I'm converting my bathroom into a smaller bathroom and a study room.

I'm happy with most of the plumbing and building work, apart for moving and adding a radiator - moving the bathroom one off one wall and to another and then adding a radiator to a new wall.

I'm happy to get this done by a plumber, but how much building work etc. should be done before I get him in. Or do I just get a plumber in to advise

Bring a plumber in to take a look beforehand, I don't see any benefit in bringing him in later. At least you'll know what needs to be done before you start. He also might give you tips about something that you didn't think about.

I agree. The plumber might also know a builder he can work with and can advise on what needs to be done.
