Bathroom sink tap makes an awful creaking noise

Hi

Had new bathroom fitted last year but now have a problem. The sink is quite basic with a basic single tap with a swivel control (up and down for on and off and left to right for temperature etc).

For the last few weeks the tap has been making a horrible creaking noise on vertical and lateral movement.

Does this sound like gland or washer (not leaking).

Try to find the manufacturer - good luck
Assuming you have no luck there all you can do is dismantle it and grease whatever you can reach.
