Hi, can anyone help, I have 3 new GU fire rated downlights and I want to fit them in my bathroom but 1 of them will be in a zone 2 area next to the bath/shower, the downlight is IP 20. The guy at TLC Electrical said it would be fine. I know I can buy a IP65 shower room downlihgt but they are fixed and not tilt, which I need, I am also using a high power LED 3w
lamp which needs airflow around the lamp, so i am told. I just need a second opinion.
Thanks.

Do you intend to comply with the law regarding the installation of these?

I take it they are for decoration, not for lighting the room?

The guy at TLC is horribly wrong - you need IPx4 as a minimum in Zone 2.

What's above the bathroom? You may need a complete change of plan rather than a second opinion....
