intermittent fault . ch and hot water but mostly dhw.boiler wont fire. micro switch on diverter is made.fan runs, pump runs.not sure if aps proves all the time.wondering if anyone has had similar fault.just tossing ideas around in my head until i go tomoz.

You dont say if there is any fault light showing?

I will assume this is the Ocean/Performa type model.

I fixed one today which gave a little CH but virtually no DHW.

However the fault indication light was flashing when the fault was present so any fool ( except Joel ) could see what the problem was.

update. it was a lazy pump.

dam them lazy pumps

dont ell me it was in the airing cupboard smoking a rollie and reading the paper

sheesh they are just like apprentices ;)

update. lasted a day and a half , problem back. seems that after the heating has reached temp it wont come back on until rads are near cool, but the water wont work either in this time.main heatx kettling.could it be the diaphram on the diverter , not the dhw diaphram the other one at back.everything was working when i was there.

any ideas guys. possible thermistor due to constant overheat on scaled hx.doesnt seem hard water though. the kettle was spotless inside.

have you check that the flue is ok, mebbe its come adfrit and the boiler is sometimes using its Oxy up

to be honest I dont know but would start there

Sounds like its had the overheat stat kit fitted and it still overheating?
Resets automatically when its cooled down.

Normal overheat problems tend to be associated with oversized (22mm) DHW pipework and dead legs (redundant DHW pipework) Example being if the boiler was put in, in place of a hot water cylinder.

Check DHW and flow/return temps

Check and clean the venturi APS and tubes?

need more info!

update. again. called baxi to boiler as i could not get it not to work. They changed the thermister which was 4 days old. they fitted a new diaphragm in the diverter and fitted a new pcb.it now works .so i guess there was something a miss with the board.
