Hi Gents,

The expansion vessel in my Baxi is shot and needs replacing, cost is not an issue as it's covered by British Gas so there's no charge.

Problem is the boiler needs to be removed to fit it, or so I'm told. The boiler is fitted in a kitchen cupboard unit, there is no problem with front access to the whole boiler, and all pipework below, there is no issue with top access to the vent etc, the problem is there is very limited side access, about 100mm each side.
Is it still possible for them to do the work without removing the sides from the cupboard? The reason is the walls were plastered and tiled AFTER the cupboard was fitted so the damage will be huge, and the tiling was only finished last week.
