Hi sorry to be a pain but I've just received another bush nut from ebay and its the same as the original part that was missing the white plastic insides!.
Could I be missing something

Possibly a newer model with brass replacing the plastic part ?

in photo 3 the side profile the shape looks the same as the one with white plastic . Never seen one that is brass instead of plastic so it could be a case of try it and see if it seals

Thanks everyone for your help it worked (so far anyway) .
I think it was leaking from both ends the Bush nut looks like it's been leaking and the tiny o-ring on the other part disintegrated when I pulled it out .
