Hi all

My Baxi 105e combi boiler of just over 2 years has had a few little problems, but over the last few months a problem has arisen where, when either left on constant or on timed to come on during the night it fails to do so.

As an example, the thermostat can be left on 23, but when I go down in the morning it will not click until way down to 15 so it knows that the temparature is lower than the current thermostat setting.

Strangely though, as soon as I turn the hot tap on and the hot water has flowed through fully (takes about 20 seconds in the middle of the night) then you can hear the boiler catching light and starts to work straight away, giving nice warm radiators in pretty quick time!

Has anyone got any suggestions of what it might be, and if it's something major to sort out or not?

Cheers

Chris
