Hi,

Got one of the above and had a couple of issues with it, one which has been ongoing since well before I moved in and the other only surfaced tonight which has been resolved.

The one that happened tonight was the boiler packed up dishing out any hot water or heating. The 60 degree light came on, flashing, indicating "Fault on pump or low system pressure" which after filling the boiler up sorted itself out.

The other problem is the 50 degree light comes on when the hot taps running. The water runs hot for a few seconds, then runs cold for 2/3 mins while the light indicating "Fault on fan or flue" and flashing away. Then the flame light kicks in, the temp lights start to light up past the 50 and it warms right up to full and you get a sink full of hot water.

That's about its limit though...dont even think about running a bath!

Anyone any ideas on what this might, and whether its going to cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks

shouldnt be very expensive worst case scenario would be a fan but more than likely to be a simple blockage or sticking switch.
a bit vague here as you'll definitly need a RGI to repair as you'll need into the combustion chamber but shouldnt be a difficult/costly repair

flashing 50 can also be a faulty pcb. and most comonly shown with random acts of wierdness on these models. but so can the old aps. not a hard fix though. and parts are still cheap to get on these.

pump proven switch not making,, pump or diverter fault, worn .

Possible Pressure Switch fault - which must be investigated by an RGI.

according to the user manual it is a flue/fan fault - so get a RGI to check these if problem stays - resetting may do the trick if nothing major though.
