Hi I recently sorted my boiler with help from you guys on here, thanks again.
Whilst I was working on the boiler I thought I would change the pump with a new one from eBay ( supposedly brand new ) . It's been in for a week and it's started making a ticking noise .
If anyone has time would you mind taking a listen of this see if you think it sounds like a failing bearing?

Thanks Dave

Your old pump was noisy as well, any idea of what setting the new pump is on and make/model if available , or/and details of your old pump.

You can't adjust the settings on the pump

Thats a massive pump at 110W for a 6M pump, (45/60W would be more normal) if its running at full speed then I would expect a faif bit of noise but it may be controlled by the boiler depending on the output.

Update ... If I stop the boiler for a minute or so the ticking sound from the pump goes away and then comes back a few hours later. Its a mystery

Dodgy bearing ? . Maybe you over tightened it when you installed it and it's vibrating
