Hi.all
Looking for some help with my baxi 105
Has had a few new parts fitted...
New pcb, diverty, blow valve.
Wireless salus controller installed.
problem now is that it powers the ch on without calling for heat, also with the control knob turned to water only. Only way to switch the ch off is to lower the temp knob right down. This happens randomly. Any ideas.
thanks

Sounds like problem lies with the salus thermostat, someone nearby is controlling your c/h with their thermostat.
Reconfigure the pins in the wall stat to change frequency (go to instructions).
If problem persists get your GSI to disconnect the thermostat wiring to the boiler and re connect link so the boiler uses its own thermostat.
Other than that due to the work the boiler has undergone could be water/damp within the pcb.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.
The pcb is dry and brand new did change that first. the red light on the receiver on the boiler normally lights red when calling for heat but it’s not lit when the boiler if firing up lady the control know is switch to hw only. But still fires up.

Try removing the switching wires in your Salus, if this solves it,you’ve found your problem.

are you sure you have a 105E and not a 105E instant, they are not the same

Hi. it’s a combi.
could it be a faulty frost sensor as it turns the ch on even when it is on hw only? so Carnt be the salus ?

When the heating is on when it shouldn't be is there any demand lights on, the tap symbol or rad symbol

Hi
Yes the rad symbol lights even when knob is switched on to hot water only. The light on the receiver for the room stat isn’t on.
