well, customer complaining that the boiler was locking out with two end lights lit, meaning an ignition problem according to the front cover.
not serviced for ages, so it was thoroughly cleaned. then fired up. boiler went through its firing sequence , burner on then off, and cycled like this a few times before locking out. condensate trap lead disconnected andy tried again, and boiler fired straight away and stayed on. confirmed with baxi that this was a regular problem. trap changed and all hunky-dory.
ran fine for 5 days now playing up again with the same ignition lights warning up.
ignition probes seemed fine on cleaning, and the boiler if burning correctly according to the analyser.
according to the owner, this has been going on like this for over a year !!
please tell me its not the PCB. anyone else had si liar problems with these?
