Worchester greenstar i combi boiler ignition problem

I have a greenstar i the heating works fine and the hot water is the problem the ignition flame fires to heat the stored water in the tank within and when I run hot water once the stored water temp has dropped the ignition flame tried to ignite and but will not stay ignited after a couple of attempts it will lock out code 227 the boiler indicates water is running pressure is at 1- 1.5 condence trap has been cleaned and connecting pipework checked for blockage any help would be much appreciated

What does your manual say is the cause of fault code 227?
How does the boiler 'indicate water is running'?

If the code indicates a failure to detect a flame then that would be common to both hot water and to heating duties, but you indicate it only fails on hot water duty. This doesn't make sense.

Perhaps you would benefit from a boiler service by a professional gas fitter (NOT the BG 'service'). I won't elaborate.
