Hello all, my boiler named above is constantly over pressureing and hence bleeding outside down the wall. At first i thought maybe it was due to the manual top up valve leaking so i have replaced and the problem continues. I have read on here that there is a pressure unit onboard but upon inspection of the boiler i cant find it. is this located in the same area as the pump as thats the only bleed point i could find.

Any help would be great

is this the only way of fixing it? as i can see the exchanger at the back. Do you mean that it is blocked? and thats where the preasure is coming from?

It means water from cold mains side is passing into heating side .

Empty the boiler, 2 screws 5 mins gets part out and in ,part about 40 quid dead simple job

best places to get a heat exchanger? ive found online plumbing supplies are they any good?

Just before you rush out, does this happen all the time even though the boiler is not being used?

If so then fine! If not then ask again.

Tony

yep afraid so, even when the boiler is completly off, and the amount of water ive bleed from the radiators to bring it down would fill the system several times

gas appliance spares preston 01772702755 list price 30 quid plus vat washers are about 2 quid each but to be honest there not usually needed
