Hi all,

I have a Baxi Bermuda 552 back boiler which is working fine, however, when it kicks in on occasions it is tripping the power and those occasions are getting more frequent. It works fine once I flip the trip switch back. It usually happens when it first starts in the morning, but in the last week or two we have had it happen when the heating has been on for a while and is just firing up again. Is it likely to be an issue with the boiler, or with the Randall 3060 control unit, or something else? Any help would be much appreciated as we are moving house in less than two weeks and I want to get it sorted for the new owners.

Thanks

I'm not at home to check the type unfortunately but I think you are right, I'll get a service done!

If it is the pump, any idea how much it would cost to replace as I can't find much on the internet? Also, where is the pump? I have an engineer coming out later in the week, if it's behind the fireplace that's fine, but we have some controls in a panel beside the fire place which to access would involve moving a big shelving unit, so I'd like to have it moved prior to that if it is likely to be there. Thanks for your replies.

Hi, I've checked and it's an RCCB that is tripping. Does that shed any light on the issue?
