I am trying to find out if I can remove the top part of my damp chimney stack above the slate line and vent the above fire/boiler through a Class 2 stainless steel flue pipe ie the flue pipe would replace the top of the chimney after removal. I have spoken to a couple of plumbers and received conflicting views. Any views would be appreciated.
