Do I need to remove the chimney flue pipe on a 20yr house?

Is this becoming a brown hat brigade forum as I can feel my butt cheeks begining to tighten when logging on

Getting back onto the main subject again, I got another plubmer in who straight away suggested ripping out the old liner ready for the new fire. All I had to do was to fit the fireplace (shown below)

Thankyou so much. We wouldn't have had a clue what you meant if you hadn't shown us that.

r those cables for a plasma tv over the fire ?

If they've been fed up the chimney, you better check smoke don't come out of the flush box when you do the test.

looks like a lovely job, wish my old semi,s chimneybreast and fire place looked half as good. The flooring and old masonary hearth look just like my own mid 20's pad here in the midlands.
