We had a new back boiler fitted along with Thermostats on all the radiators last year. All was well until this week, when although my Thermostat was set to off, my Bedroom radiator was boiling hot. I double checked it and left it for a bit(never know who been playing with it out of the two kids !!!!), and it was still hot. All the other radiators work fine and get hot and cold as they should do, and the hot water is fine too. the system is a bit noisy so it has probably got a bit of air in it, but don't know if the two would be related. So in the mean time so i can sleep without sweating i shut the valve at the other end of the radiator. This done it soon cooled down, but it still seems a little bit warmer than it ought to be. my initial instinct would be that its just a faulty Thermostatic valve and i should just rip it out and replace it. Just one problem! How?! Looking at it it looks like its just a case of undoing two nut and off it comes, but what about the contents of the radiator?
