baxi boiler sparking electrodes

hi

we are freezin here and have a prob with our baxi he105 boiler.

there is no flame and following the fault finding flowchart it says that we need to spark the elecrodes for 10 seconds.

is this something we can do ourselves.. we have taken off the covers to the boiler hence we know what these are
