Hi

I have a flame failure (fault 30), this only happens when Central heating. It lights then goes out after 5sec, then tries 2 further times before flame failure light flashes.

If I run hot water the boiler lights without issue.

I’ve had the PCB and pump changed. One thing that was noticed was that when the engineer has the cover off the boiler the CH worked ok with no failure.

It needs a qualified engineer to set up the gas valve correctly.

Is this a issue you’ve seen before? Only asking as has an engineer looked it a couple of weeks ago and he seemed to be stuck after replacing PCB and Pump

I came across this a few times. If he reads the instruction manual and does the tests, he should come up with the answer. We are not allowed to give information regarding gas repairs on the forum, so I can't say any more than I have already.

He might just as well change his socks.

I have an idea what it is.
To find out, you need a gas person to ckeck/correct.

Agree, just the last one didn’t have a clue so thought a little knowledge sharing would help… anyway I’ll see what the next engineer heals to say when they arrive
