Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE - any good???

I had a quote this morning to replace my boiler and the guy recommended a Baxi Duo-tec Combi 28 HE.

Are these any good, he brought out a copy of Which? magazine where it was a "Best buy"? Says he's fitted lots and has had no problems.

I asked him to quote for a Vaillant too just in case.

Opinions please (hides behind sofa and awaits the onslaught of Baxi abuse...

Consumer magazines base their judgement on factors comparing value for money, which explains why a fiat can come out better than a merc.
Baxi is a budget boiler and in that sector you could do worse.
Vaillant is a different category and if you want a good boiler and good aftersales, Worcester Bosch would get top marks on the whole package.
