People mention about linking cables I've put the boiler back to how it was everything OK
I must be missing something I've even swapped the black n grey around in receiver still the same
Potterton receiver was connected to terminal block opposite end to feed in
Cheers

No links required. Swap your black and grey wires around, either at Hive or boiler end, and see if that works. You have black (common) going to switch at Hive and vice versa.

Thanks I've already done that just to see
How long should it usually take for boiler to kick in as when put everything back took quite a while

you have wired it correctly, doesnt matter which way round the black and grey go, post a pic of the boiler display with the hive calling for heating so we can see what the boiler thinks is happening

Many a Qualified Gas Engineer have been caught out with that one, yes when you put the power back on they can take a while, sometimes as much as 15 mins but seems like a year when you are standing watching it, same once the boiler is on and you turn the heating on at the Hive , it is not immediate a min or two before completing the demand is normal

Here’s step by step what I’ve done again

that’s the order I’ve done it in
1 undone the optimum timer
2/3 connected as per diagrams
3 switched everything back on and receiver an thermostat saying working but boiler doing nothing

This is how the boiler came from the factory before the integral receiver was fitted.
The brown & blue (Live & Neutral) for the clock/receiver supply are parked and the 2 black wires (the relay switch contacts) are connected together.
So plug X9 back on and link the 2 black wires...ie. the now missing clock/receiver is permanently on.
