Hi we have a combi boiler the central heating side of this works fine, but the hot water runs hot and cold some times the water can run for 10 mins and wont get hot but others its scorching ( normally the cold option) we do have water dripping from the pipe out side which leads me to ask is this down to pressure balance if so how do i go about sorting this
any help greatly received
Regards
NM

if the pipe is dripping then you will be losing pressure, what is the pressure at the mo? are you constantly topping up the pressure?

The hot water prob may be unconnected to the dripping pipe (PRV\safety pipe) though.

Sounds as if its a combinition of most or all of:-

Leaking filling valve.

DHW flow switch dirty/faulty

plate HE blocked.

These boilers are just about repairable but the magnetic flow switches are prone to pick up magnetic dirt from the system.

At least the parts are cheap ( poss only if bought as a C&M part. )

Tony.
