Our CH boiler has started to click !!!

It generally starts after its gone off and starts with a stream of clicking that eventually slows down and stops. Its not cooling down thats causing it - its definite clicking, rather like its trying to ignite the flame...

Any ideas (apart from binning it!!!!) ??

can you see it sparking trying to ignite?

if so possibly sounds like pcb error with flame rectification thinking boiler has gone out unexpectedly
